Q: Where are you from and what experiences influenced your decision to become a founding member of SIMIO Health?
“I grew up in Fruitport, Michigan and graduated from Grand Valley State University’s school of Health Sciences. I spent the first 10 years of my career in Occupation Safety and Heath and workers compensation management. My first personal experience with PT was after a back injury. I was blown away at the therapist’s ability to read my body and modify my exercise plan to quickly address the root of the pain. I still use those exercises today! In the years that followed I was in physical therapy after an ACL replacement, and foot fracture. Again I found myself impressed with the detail and knowledge that therapists brought to my treatment. Through my time involved with workers compensation, I saw the value that a skilled therapist could add to patient engagement, positive outcomes, timely return to work, and most importantly, resolution of an issue. I also had been close friends with Craig, our senior PT. We had many conversations about the impact physical therapy can have on a persons life. Born from Craig’s dream and my desire help people find a way away from pain and toward a better balanced life, our conversations evolved into the establishment we now know as SIMIO Health & Wellness.
Q: Do you still get involved in any sports or recreation?
“We are a very busy family. My boys are involved in football, baseball, basketball and wrestling. That keep my wife Renee and I on the run much of the time. However when time permits (and we usually make it happen) we enjoy traveling, camping and creating memorable experiences by trying new things…most recently Pickleball.
Q: How long have you been a SIMIO Staff and what are some things that keep you motivated in your profession?
“As a co-owner, I have been part of SIMIO since the beginning. I am continually motivated to be the bridge that connects the hurting to the healers.”
Q: Now that we know a little about you, what can you share with us about your life outside of the clinic?
“I am the lucky husband to my wife Renee and father to Case, our oldest, and his younger brother Camron. Between sports, camping, hunting, fishing, and church we are constantly on the go and squeezing the most out of life.”

Testimonials from Simio Health & Wellness clients:
“SIMIO Physical Therapy has been great to work with. I am feeling parts of my body function that have not before. It is amazing to feel these movements and to be able to feel more at ease when doing physical activity.”

“Simio was able to address the root of my problem instead of sticking a bandaid on the symptom, like a different physical therapist’s office did. I’ve since been back for different issues, and definitely recommend them. Staff is friendly, make you feel comfortable, and definitely know what they are doing. Five stars!”
