Daphne connected to 'movement' early while studying dance and exploring yoga through books as there were no studios around. A practicing Midwife and Childbirth Educator for 15 years, she found fulfillment working with young families and women transitioning through the Childbearing Year.
In 2011 she discovered a local yoga studio and began to practice consistently. Stress from a lack of work/life balance led her to pursue formal Yoga Teacher Training in 2014. She studied with Melanie McQuown and is grateful for the depth of program and breadth of community at Peace Lab Yoga Shala. Additional trainings include: 'Wisdom Warriors' with Desiree Rumbaugh and a 50 hour ‘integrative Yoga for Seniors Professional Training’ program at Duke Integrative Medicine in 2015 with Carol Krucoff and Kimberly Carson. Alway a student, she is currently continuing studies in Therapeutic and Restorative Yoga.
Daphne is excited to share yoga with those new to practice, those wanting to learn more about yoga, and those returning to yoga. She also looks forward to connecting with those 50+ yogis looking for ease of movement and mind.
