The TRX Suspension Trainer is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises.
TRX is a suspension training class which allows participants to work against their weight to improve strength, balance, flexibility and joint stability.
TRX is a good tool to help both beginner to advanced yoga practitioners get more closely in touch with their bodies and explore different types of yoga poses. TRX aids in alignment and lets your body learn how a pose should feel. It offers different challenges and different assistance at the same time! Just like traditional yoga props such as blocks or bolsters, the TRX trainer can be used to support and enhance many poses. Because you are partially suspended, TRX develops muscle strength and helps build confidence for poses that be difficult or scary. Can’t balance on one leg for tree pose? TRX can help! Headstands sound terrifying? Not a problem!
For beginners yogis, TRX is a great tool to assist and get more closely in tune with your bodies. There are a numerous ways to use the strap to learn how to better engage and align
For the more experienced yogi, a TRX strap can introduce more play into your practice, as it assists you in safely working toward challenging poses like inversions, arm balances and backbends that may seem scary or complex in a normal yoga studio setting.
TRX should be used as a cross-training tool for a normal yoga practice.
Vinyasa is a unique style of yoga where postures are linked together in a continuous, challenging and creative flow that combines strength and flexibility while toning the body and clearing the mind. Students are encouraged to move at their own pace with intention and to listen to their body as they explore their own edge and discover inner strength. Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a vigorous and mindful flow.
Slow Flow yoga is an all levels class that breaks down the fundamentals of a yoga practice. A vinyasa flow class that incorporates longer holds and slower movements. We take it slowly and intentionally, shedding light on foundational yoga poses and taking the time we need to feel them and understand them fully.
Lunch Flow helps you enjoy a break from your work day and rebuild your energy level during your lunch time. This 45-minute class will stretch, invigorate, and relax you to help you get through the rest of your day.

Deepen your practice, gain confidence, and receive guidance from a teacher to develop a practice tailored to your individual needs. Personal instruction is an invaluable tool for students of all levels and experience. Personal, private yoga lessons are the best way to address your goals and work on areas of individual interest. You can work with the teacher of your choice or we can match a teacher to meet your expressed needs. We encourage ongoing personal yoga instruction outside of the classroom setting to maximize the benefits of yoga.
Personal instruction allows for a more intimate view into your practice. You can start a new practice, deepen your practice or spend some time working with an injury or condition. When you work with a teacher one on one, the teacher is able to help you experience the benefits of yoga in a safe, personal way.
WHY GET PERSONAL INSTRUCTION?
For new students
As a new student, you may be intimidated by the public classroom environment. Personal Instruction allows a teacher the opportunity to focus on you and make sure you are getting off to an appropriate start. Personal yoga instruction will help you integrate into our public classes.
For more experienced students
Experienced students benefit as well. You are able to have a deeper insight into specific postures or categories of postures that interest you. Personal yoga instruction is the perfect learning environment. Our teachers can help you with posture alignment, modifications and can help you develop a balanced home practice. It can also give the experienced student time to learn about yoga philosophy or other aspects of interest, such as meditation and breathing practices.
Taking time to relax and renew is essential to living well. Restorative Yoga helps relieve the effects of chronic stress in many ways. This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body. This class is appropriate for students of all levels.
Folks who are stressed out, have trouble sleeping, are limited in their movement because of injury, and/or generally have loads of responsibility with very little “me” time.
SIMIO Health & Wellness is excited to host The Pilates Hive in our gym space. Visit thepilateshive.com for more information about their services, equipment, rates, and FAQ.
The Pilates Hive features Balanced Body equipment. You can expect to work out on the reformer, springboard, reformer/tower combo, Cadillac, ladder barrel and chairs. I tend to tailor the session to what I see going on in my clients bodies, therefore my classes are capped at four to maintain quality and attention to detail.
Balance and stability training may also be mixed into the sessions, depending upon the client’s need.
I incorporate work on the myofascial system with foam rollers and Yoga Tune Up® (YTU) tools in most sessions. These tools are available for purchase at the studio store, and I highly recommend them for at home use.
